Do you have the Black Fish Itch?

Blackfishing really gets hot come October. In November most anglers will pull there boats and winter store them away. This is when the die hard's are out in full force!

November 16th, the limit increases from 1, to 6 fish per person. It's cold and windy most of the time, but not much will stop most fisherman from getting out on the water.

Blue claw, green, white and asian crabs are all used to target these bottom dwellers. The Togs are usually found in rocky bottom and on wrecks. Some days are different. Sometimes it takes a bit to get them chewing, other days its game on. Your long time fishing buddies will "skate" around the boat and you'll hear their "footsteps" when they come to "mug" you because you just "rolled" a nice one. You know the drill.......

Winds, currents and swells all take part with a Tautog bite.

Some boats use a wreck anchor, sand anchor or a bridle system(2 sand anchors).

There are tons of tactics to hook these fish and rip them out of the hole.  We won't get into all that......  Wink

See you on the water!

We are currently available and fishing for mixed bag trips at this time. We are accepting charters and putting open boat trips together now.

Call or email for desired dates, as we are starting to fill up.

Targeting: Stripers/Blues/Blackfish

Charters/Open Boat Trips Include: Bait, tackle, rods, ice, filet and packaging. Tip for the mate is additional.

Fall striper fishing is upon us. False albacore, bonito and nice sized blue fish are also mixed in.

Most of the fish will be caught jigging or popping and some anglers fish anchored up using clams or drifting live eels. The albacore and bonito can be caught using metals retrieved super fast or trolling.

Bonito are great to eat, the albacore not so much, but they sure are fun to catch!

The fall striped bass season is typically from September through November.
