Saturday 12/29 we were finally able to get out fishing. Had Kurt, Mark, Ron and his son. Started the day off on a local stop, with just a few dogs and no tog bites. Went further NE and more dogs there. Picked up quick and went deep to a wreck. Solid life here instantly. 6-7 shorts in 5 minutes, that was savage compared to the dogfish bite on the other drops. Started picking keepers around 10:30am till about 12pm when the wind and current slid us off the wreck. But not before Rons son put a nice 10lb fish in the boat. Reset the anchors and picked 1 or 2. Got pretty snotty and crappy weather, so we called it a day at 12:45pm. Ended up with a dozen pretty decent fish and plenty of throwbacks.
