5/26 Memorial Day we had Dennis, Gary, Hunter, Aaron, Keith and Bob for bass. Broke the inlet early and saw fish busting. Snagged and dropped and lost 2 fish pretty quick. Lots of boats showed so we left and made bait with a few throws and off we went. Steady action all day but the blow ups were too aggressive and we didn't get the chance to hook em all. The guys worked all day and put 8 bass with 2 right around 40lbs in the boat. Had plenty of fish looking at baits, run offs and blow ups. Just couldn't get em, no ones fault but the fish! Beautiful day today. Nice and hot, welcome Summer!
Most importantly, THANK YOU TO ALL OUR MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVE AND HAVE SERVED FOR OUR GREAT COUNTRY! HOPE YOU GUYS AND GALS FISHED TODAY!!!!!
Had Murray's charter for bass today. Broke the inlet and made bait quick with a few throws. Started around where we been catching but no good. Finally had a bite and he spit it. Made a move and had one blow up and run. 4 man tangle ended that quick! Another move and we finally captured one. Then it was dead again. Moved a ways and had a few more blow ups and one on which turned into a pulled hook. Finally, we found the mother load. Some of the most ridiculous action I've ever seen. I've done this countless times and when it's like this, it's still not old! Love it. 5-10 bass fighting over each of our baits. Bass were everywhere. Coulda free gaffed em easily. The kids did they best they could putting 8 monsters to 40lbs in the boat. Had over 40 fish take em and run and probably 100 blow ups at least. Amazing sight to see. Maybe it means good things to come this live line season. 12 year old Sophie put the smack down on some cows. Man she loves to fish. Great job!!!!
Ran open 5/24 with Jim and the 2 kids, Evan, Dave, and Oliver. Broke the inlet and made bait rather quick. Did some looking around but didn't see much. Set up on a drift and within no time we had fish. Action ALL DAY. Long story short, the boys had 26 fish but only landing 10. Fun day. Ryan had one 45lbs, first bass ever. Evan was high hook. But Dave had an absolute pig 48" long and 29" of girth. Great day of live lining. Watching big bass roll on bunkers is great! Way to give it hell boys!
Had Mike NoPockets charter for bass Friday 5/23. Made bait early and played in the schools but no takers. Made a run and had fish right away. Couple drops misses and landed a few bass, then the JUMBO blues found us. Played with them for a bit and went looking. Nada. Made a move back down to where we started and it was GAME ON. BIG BASS blowing up every bait we put in. The guys beat the hell outta them to Mikes 48" LEAN bass. (That we actually had to chase). NO LIGHT TACKLE. Haha. They boxed up a limit+ and a ton of blues. Called it an early day, didn't wanna get greedy!
Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Welcome Summer!
Sunday 5/18 PM ran open with Bob, Chris, Andrew and his son, Kevin and Ron. Had bait so we went out and set up. Couple blues and some bass we had on and lost. More blues. Picked a couple bass to over 35lbs, then all blues again. Left there and found spraying bunker all over. Good bass reads here. First drift, 3 run offs. Second drift and we got a nice bass. Set up on anchor as the sun was going down. Had another nice bass and the use found us again. Unbelievable.
